The Use of Digital Poster Media in History Learning by PLP Students at SMA Negeri 1 Langsa

Abstract

This study examines the use of digital poster media in history learning implemented by student teachers during their School Field Practice (PLP) at SMA Negeri 1 Langsa. The research focuses on how digital posters are utilized as instructional media, their role in increasing student engagement, and their effectiveness in supporting history learning. The objective of this study is to analyze the implementation, student responses, and the impact of digital posters on students’ understanding of historical material. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digital poster media enhance students’ attention, learning interest, and comprehension due to visually engaging, concise, and communicative content. This study contributes to the development of digital-based instructional media innovation and provides practical insights for prospective teachers in optimizing technology for effective and adaptive history learning.
