Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to historical research and learning, including the study of Islamic history. This study aims to describe the concepts of digital humanities and digital history and analyze their implications for research and learning in Islamic history. The method employed is a library research approach using descriptive-analytical methods through the examination of relevant literature and digital sources. The findings indicate that digital technology has expanded access to historical sources, including primary sources available through various digital platforms. This accessibility enables students, lecturers, researchers, and the general public to obtain, manage, and interpret historical sources more independently. Furthermore, digital history has encouraged the emergence of new forms of historiography and learning media that are more interactive, open, and accessible through digital platforms and social media. The study reveals that digital history offers opportunities for more exploratory, collaborative, and innovative research and learning in Islamic history. However, its implementation requires adherence to methodological standards and academic ethics to maintain the validity and credibility of historical scholarship.
